| Pulaski | See Notes | Liss Sterling | CHARMING RURAL ROAD: Take U.S. 31A northeast out of Pulaski, TN; turn east onto TN 129 all the way to Lynchburg, TN, probably 30 or 40 miles. This is a really beautiful road through the rolling hills unique to central TN. Almost all of 129 is newly paved and runs through breathtakingly gorgeous, cool, lush green intimate valleys dotted with picturesque farms with very few crossroads. It's gentle twisties for the most part, not overly challenging, but still requiring concentration. GIRL COMMENT: When we went through yesterday, there were baby goats at a lot of the farms. Too cute. Rural roads that aren't full of trashy trailer vistas are so rare, but this one is positively charming. NOTE: From Lynchburg, you can take TN 50 to Winchester. Nice road, but avoid it in the hot summer; the half nearest to Lynchburg is covered with slippery tar snakes. | |
