Kansas City (Junction of Hwy 5 & I-435) Levenworth State Highway 5 Gordon Dickson The ride has some nice easy curves in it and goes through some nice wooded areas. It's not exactly "Deals Gap", but then, this is Kansas. . . :)
Alma Alta Vista State Highway 4 Daniel Kalal Good surface, long sweeps through the hills. Not much traffic, pay attention to the stone walls, though. About 25 miles
Latham Cambridge Country Road Daniel Kalal Follows a narrow valley, watch for deer in the evening. About 20 miles
I-35 & Highway 177 Council Grove State Highway 177 Daniel Kalal Follows a wooded valley, excellent surface, all fast sweepers. About 40 miles
Junction City Dwight State Highway 57 Scot Harrington & Tyson Cott Approximately 18 miles, Hazards include rural driveways. Approximately 20+ turns. Very little traffic.
Hackney See Notes CC Road 20 Mark Pearson

Hackney is between Winfield and Arkansas City at the intersection of Hwy.77 and Cowley County Road 20. Take CC road 20 due east to Dexter, KS (approximately 16 miles). Head south on the main street out of Dexter, which turns into Grouse Creek Road and winds for 11 miles until you intersect Hwy. 166.

There are some decent sweepers between road 20 and 1, but then it gets rougher with plenty of sneaky sand traps. There is some pretty scenery, but watch out for pets, livestock and local traffic. Of course, there aren't very many curves in Kansas and unfortunately there are plans to flood the Grouse Creek valley and turn it into a lake.
