Start At Finish At Highway(s) Submitted by Notes
Cambridge Paris 24A Teunis Vander Knapp Only 5-7 miles in length but a great ride
Belfountain Junction of Hwy. 10 Credit Road Teunis Vander Knapp About 5 miles and is real slow on weekends
Espanola (West of Sudbury 40 minutes) 15 miles after start Hwy. 68 Teunis Vander Knapp
Waterdown Burlington Snake Road Mike Graham
Harcourt (east on Hwy 648 to Hwy 10 north then east to Hwy 62 at Maynooth, about 25 km north of Bancroft)   Hwy 648, Hwy 10, Hwy 62 Lloyd MacLean From Harcourt it starts pretty tame and then turns into new pavement with no cross roads for almost 20 km. Comes from nowhere, goes nowhere. Very few cars, beautiful twisties that just don't stop, probably one of the very best roads in Ontario.
Parry Sound       Canada's LARGEST sport bike rally--the 1999 rally will be in July "around" the 4th
Dundas/Ancaster (southern Ontario)     Ted Boruta See Note 1 below for the complete route
Southwestern Ontario (Essex County See notes River Road Tim Willms This is the only road in SW Ontario that "excites" anyone. Begin at the Junction of Hwy 401 & Hwy 77 go north to 2nd stop sign and turn right. This is River Road. Follows the Thames River to Chatham, Ontario--about 15 mi.
Lindsay Algonquin Park Hwy 35 Peter McPhie About a 2 hr. ride. Older 2-lane highway. Goes by a lot of lakes. Busy tourist area. Algonguin Park is a nice ride, too.
Calabogie Griffith Hwy 508 Doug Hunter 30 miles of newly resurfaced twisty asphalt, following Black Donald and Centennial Lakes. Beautiful scenery combined with zero runoff dictates sport-touring rather than ten-tenths pace!
Eganville Denbigh Hwys 512, 514, 515 Doug Hunter 50 miles of medium to fast sweepers through hill country. Incredible scenery, numerous "panoramic" views and elevation changes. Quiet region but decent road surface with very little traffic or police activity. Watch for wildlife however, its a long way to the nearest hospital.
Guelph see notes see notes Heather Honeywood A Nice little route we ride that starts near Guelph at the south end of victoria road coming from Guelph south on Victoria road you come to Wellington county road 36 where Victoria crosses the 401. Turn left on 36 and you can follow this all the way to Trafalger road at Georgetown.Turn left to the next stopsign (#7) turn right going into Georgetown.Turn left on the big right hand sweeper and follow this road through Glen Williams and Terra Cotta. Left on Mississaga road down to Bellfountain and through the forks of the credit to #10. Left on #10 and up to Orangeville. Right on 9 then left on 50. Then go left at Loretto #1 and follow the Hockley valley back to Orangeville. Once in Orangeville you can take 136 back to the forks of the credit and Bellfountain. This ride takes a good 3 hours and I feel is the best sportbike ride in Southwestern Ontario

1. There is a road in the Dundas/Ancaster area of southern Ontario: Start off on King Street West at the bottom of Highway 2 (there is a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream joint there) Head all the way up highway two into Ancaster, past the Old Mill Restaurant, past Rousseau Rd. (the continuation of Mohawk Road West into Ancaster). Turn RIGHT at the stoplights and go straight all the way to LOVER'S LANE. Turn RIGHT and just follow the road. It's called Sulphur Springs Road. It's only about 5-6kms long, with all manner of corners: fast sweepers, TIGHT (15km/hr) hairpins, nice challenging 90 and 135 degree corners (20-40km/hr) and it takes you through some of the nice forest-like areas of Ancaster/Dundas. The road condition is very nice in some places, and in others you must be careful for the falling leaves and/or slightly slippery patches where some dirt from somebody's driveway has been transported onto the road surface. All in all it is a beautiful road to take a nice ride down.
