| Spearfish (N44º28.904' W103º50.626 | Cheyenne Crossing (N44º 17.876' W103º 52.028') | US14A | Heath Markovetz | Take 14A south out of Spearfish, turn right at Spearfish Canyon Road. Fairly new pavement and very nice turns mostly posted at 35mph until Savoy. From Savoy to CC the pavement isn't quite as new and the turns aren't quite as tight, but it's still worth the extra 5 miles. Total of about 18 miles of gorgeous SD canyon with several wide turnouts to stop and enjoy the scenery (including Bridal Veil Falls - worth the stop if you like pretty stuff like that). |
